Slovnyx Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") explain the rules for using the Slovnyx mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, using Slovnyx, starting a subscription, redeeming a promo code, or sharing a public collection, you agree to these Terms.

Slovnyx is operated by Antonenko Denys Serhiiovych ("Slovnyx", "we", "our", or "us").

The Service

Slovnyx is a language-learning service that helps learners create, save, share, and study vocabulary collections. Slovnyx may create personalized collections from movies, TV shows, topics, pasted text, photos, public collections, custom words, and your learning history.

Slovnyx does not host, stream, download, or provide access to full movies or TV episodes. Media-related features use metadata, poster images, vocabulary data, subtitle-derived lexicon signals, and other lawful learning signals to help create study lists. Third-party media metadata, posters, and datasets remain subject to their providers' terms and to the rights of their owners.

Accounts

You need an account to use many Slovnyx features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it reasonably up to date. You may not create accounts for abuse, impersonation, scraping, circumvention of limits, or other misuse.

You may not create or use multiple accounts to avoid rate limits, usage limits, subscription rules, security controls, moderation actions, account blocks, payment obligations, or feature eligibility. When investigating abuse, we may consider related accounts, devices, identifiers, network addresses, and activity patterns where reasonably necessary to protect the Service and enforce these Terms.

Eligibility

Slovnyx is not intended for children under 13 or for children under the minimum age required by local law. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Slovnyx only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Subscriptions And Premium Features

Slovnyx may offer a free Basic plan and paid Slovnyx Premium plans. Premium may include features such as unlimited Screen Words collection generation for normal personal use, collection generation from photos, pasted text, and topics, and AI drafts for custom words or phrases.

Subscription prices, currencies, billing periods, taxes, free trials, introductory offers, and renewal terms are shown in Apple App Store, Google Play, or another authorized checkout before purchase. The price and terms shown at checkout control.

Paid subscriptions are billed by the store or payment provider where you purchased them. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through that store or payment provider before the renewal date. Deleting the Slovnyx app or deleting your Slovnyx account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple or Google account.

Slovnyx does not directly process App Store or Google Play refunds. Refund requests, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled by the store where the purchase was made, subject to that store's policies and applicable law.

Premium access is tied to your Slovnyx account and is intended to work across supported devices when you sign in with the same Slovnyx account. Store rules, receipt verification, platform limitations, account deletion, or technical issues may affect access restoration.

If you delete your Slovnyx account, we may delete the account data needed to provide Premium features. Your store subscription may remain active until you cancel it through Apple or Google.

Premium access is a paid entitlement to use permitted Slovnyx features; it is not permission to abuse, automate, scrape, brute-force, overload, resell, or misuse the Service, or to violate content and conduct rules. We may limit, suspend, deactivate, or terminate any account, including a Premium account, if we believe the account violates these Terms or creates risk for Slovnyx, other users, third-party services, or rights holders.

If enforcement affects your Premium access, you remain responsible for cancelling any auto-renewing subscription through Apple App Store, Google Play, or the payment provider where you purchased it. Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes remain subject to the store or payment provider rules and applicable law. Where permitted by those rules and applicable law, violations of these Terms may make you ineligible for a refund, credit, or other compensation.

Promo codes may grant temporary or lifetime Premium access. Promo codes may be limited by date, number of redemptions, account, region, or other conditions. Slovnyx may reject, disable, or revoke promo codes that are expired, invalid, abused, or used in violation of these Terms.

Fair Use And Abuse Limits

Terms such as "unlimited" refer to ordinary personal learning use by a human learner and do not allow abuse, automation, scraping, resale, or industrial-scale use. Features that generate or process collections from movies, TV shows, episodes, topics, pasted text, photos, Screen Words, public collections, custom words, or AI drafts can be resource-intensive even when they are available to Premium users.

We may apply reasonable technical limits, rate limits, throttling, queues, quotas, captcha or verification checks, content review, temporary blocks, feature restrictions, account suspension, account deactivation, or account termination to protect the Service, control costs, prevent automated or excessive use, stop fraud, comply with third-party provider limits, or respond to security or abuse issues. These protections may apply to Basic and Premium accounts.

You may not use Slovnyx to:

• scrape, crawl, harvest, mine, copy, or bulk export Slovnyx data, generated content, media metadata, public collections, dictionary data, AI outputs, or API responses except through features we provide for ordinary personal use;
• brute-force, enumerate, probe, fuzz, stress test, load test, benchmark, or reverse engineer endpoints, prompts, identifiers, title catalogs, episode catalogs, generation flows, subscription gates, rate limits, or security controls;
• run bots, scripts, headless browsers, farms, background jobs, parallel requests, request rotation, token rotation, account rotation, or other automated workflows without our written permission;
• create, sell, resell, broker, share, or operate collection-generation services, data extraction services, AI-generation services, or other commercial workflows using Slovnyx;
• intentionally generate excessive movies, TV shows, episodes, photos, topics, text imports, Screen Words, custom words, AI drafts, or other heavy operations in a way that is inconsistent with normal personal learning;
• submit abusive prompts, payloads, photos, text, topics, or collections to bypass safety systems, content rules, quotas, or moderation;
• use Slovnyx in a way that damages, disables, overburdens, degrades, or increases unreasonable cost for Slovnyx or our infrastructure, AI providers, media providers, or other service providers.

User Content

"User Content" means content you provide, create, upload, paste, save, or share through Slovnyx. This may include collection names and descriptions, custom words, definitions, examples, translations, pasted text, topics, selected photos, profile photos, public collections, and other materials.

You keep any rights you have in your User Content. You give Slovnyx a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, copy, display, format, transmit, analyze, and use your User Content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the Service. For public collections, this license also allows Slovnyx to display and share the collection with people who open the public link, and to let those users save or copy the collection.

You are responsible for your User Content. Do not upload, paste, create, or share content that you do not have the right to use.

You may not use Slovnyx to create or share User Content that:

• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, or violent;
• threatens violence, encourages serious physical harm, targets a person or group with harassment, bullying, abuse, or intimidation, or could reasonably create a safety risk;
• exposes private information about another person without permission;
• contains malware, spam, phishing, or attempts to manipulate or disrupt the Service;
• impersonates another person or falsely suggests an endorsement;
• encourages self-harm, abuse, or other unlawful conduct.

Slovnyx does not generally review public collections before or after they are shared, and we do not guarantee that User Content will be monitored or moderated. We may still remove, hide, limit, refuse, disable links to, or restrict sharing of User Content, including public collections, if we believe it violates these Terms, the law, store policies, third-party rights, or the safety or quality of Slovnyx.

Users may report collections, public links, custom words, definitions, examples, translations, descriptions, AI output, or the account responsible for that content. Reports may relate to a single collection, repeated collections, custom-word content, or a broader pattern of account behavior.

We may take action based on our own review, automated signals, provider notices, rights-holder notices, user reports, repeated reports, severe reports, or patterns suggesting abuse. Repeated credible reports about a collection, custom words, account, or pattern of collections may lead to content removal, public-link disabling, feature restrictions, account suspension, account deactivation, or account termination, including for Premium accounts.

In critical cases, including credible threats to life or physical safety, harassment, bullying, exploitation, abuse, doxxing, hate, sexual exploitation, illegal activity, or attempts to use Slovnyx to harm another person, we may immediately remove the collection or related content and suspend, deactivate, or terminate the responsible account without prior notice.

Public And Shared Collections

You can choose to make a collection public. A public collection is accessible to anyone who has the link. Public collections are not available through Slovnyx discovery or search unless Slovnyx later introduces such a feature and the collection is made available for that feature.

You control whether to keep a collection private, make it public, or share its public link. If you do not want other people to access a collection, keep it private and do not share the link.

When someone opens a public collection, they may save it or make a private study copy. If you later make your collection private or delete it, shared links may stop working, but people who already saved or copied it may keep their study copy.

Do not make a collection public unless you have the right to share its name, description, and included content.

AI Features

Some Slovnyx features use AI or automated processing, including custom word drafts, photo vocabulary extraction, and topic-related recommendations. AI and automated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate, or unsuitable for your context.

You are responsible for reviewing AI output before saving, studying, sharing, or relying on it. Slovnyx is a learning tool and does not provide legal, medical, financial, professional, or official translation advice.

Do not upload or submit content to AI features if you do not have the right to use it or if it contains sensitive information that you do not want processed.

Photos, Text, Topics, And Source Material

Photo, text, and topic imports are optional. You may use them only with content you own, are allowed to use, or are legally permitted to process for personal learning.

Do not upload photos, paste text, or submit topics that violate law, third-party rights, confidentiality obligations, school or workplace rules, or platform policies.

Slovnyx Content And Intellectual Property

Slovnyx, including the app, website, software, design, branding, icons, logos, learning flows, and Slovnyx-created content, is owned by Slovnyx or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, Slovnyx gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own learning. You may not copy, modify, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Slovnyx except as allowed by law or by these Terms.

Third-Party Services

Slovnyx may rely on third-party services such as Apple App Store, Google Play, Firebase, Google Cloud, OpenAI, media metadata providers, and other infrastructure or content providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

When you download Slovnyx from Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable store terms also apply. For billing, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds, the store terms control where required.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Slovnyx collects, uses, shares, and protects information. You can read it at:

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• use Slovnyx for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
• threaten, harass, bully, abuse, intimidate, exploit, dox, or endanger another person or group through collections, custom words, AI prompts, descriptions, examples, translations, or other content;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, networks, or security systems;
• bypass authentication, access controls, subscription gates, rate limits, or usage limits;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, mine, copy, or bulk export data except through features we provide for ordinary personal use;
• brute-force, enumerate, probe, fuzz, stress test, load test, benchmark, or reverse engineer endpoints, prompts, identifiers, catalogs, generation flows, subscription gates, rate limits, or security controls;
• use bots, scripts, headless browsers, automation, request rotation, token rotation, account rotation, or other automated tools without our written permission;
• create or use multiple accounts, shared accounts, fake accounts, stolen accounts, or borrowed accounts to avoid limits, payments, enforcement, or moderation;
• use VPNs, proxies, device changes, emulator farms, automation tools, or other methods to evade rate limits, blocks, security controls, abuse detection, moderation, or account enforcement;
• generate or attempt to generate excessive movies, TV shows, episodes, photos, topics, text imports, public collections, Screen Words, AI drafts, or other heavy operations inconsistent with ordinary personal learning;
• attempt to reverse engineer the app, API, or backend except where law allows;
• sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit Slovnyx without our written permission;
• use Slovnyx to infringe or misappropriate third-party rights.

Changes, Availability, And Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Slovnyx at any time. We may add, remove, limit, or modify features, including Premium features, as long as we comply with applicable law and store rules.

We may warn you, remove content, disable public links, limit features, throttle usage, revoke promo access, suspend access, deactivate your account, terminate your account, or block related accounts, devices, identifiers, or network access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Slovnyx or others, used the Service abusively, received repeated credible reports for inappropriate or abusive content, posted collections or custom-word content involving harassment, threats, abuse, exploitation, or safety risks, attempted scraping or brute-force activity, generated excessive heavy operations, committed fraud, abused payments or refunds, or if we are required to do so by law, store policy, provider requirements, or rights-holder request.

These enforcement rights apply to Basic and Premium accounts. We try to act proportionally, but we may take immediate action without prior notice when we believe there is a serious risk, repeated abuse, security threat, legal issue, third-party rights issue, or attempt to evade enforcement.

Account deactivation or termination does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store, Google Play, or other external auto-renewing subscription. You must cancel the subscription through the store or payment provider where it was purchased.

You may stop using Slovnyx at any time. You may delete your Slovnyx account in the app. Account deletion is separate from store subscription cancellation.

Disclaimers

Slovnyx is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that learning content, translations, definitions, recommendations, AI output, or media-related vocabulary will always be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Slovnyx disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Slovnyx will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, inaccurate content, or unauthorized access.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Continuing to use Slovnyx after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
